The 3 new editions of the MoonSwatch are the watches you need this summer!

After venturing to the Moon and other planets in the solar system, Swatch and Omega are embarking on a mission to Earth with three unexpected new editions of the MoonSwatch.

The now famous bioceramic version of the Speedmaster aims to “sublimate the Earth as seen from space” with watches inspired by the desert, lava, and the northern lights!

Mission to Earth Lava: a nod to the 1968 Moonwatch Ultraman

Mars, Saturn, Moon, Sun… We thought we had already explored the entire solar system with the MoonSwatch from Swatch and Omega. We even thought that the two Swiss brands had put the finishing touch with the moon phase watch featuring Snoopy, but lo and behold the bioceramic Speedmaster is back again as summer approaches. And even in three versions, in order to pay tribute to “the most beautiful planet”, ours.

This declaration of love to the Earth begins with the Mission to Earth Lava. As the name suggests, this watch evokes the power and fascinating beauty of volcanic eruptions. Its case, crown, and bioceramic orange pushers recall the intense shades of molten lava. The black dial is adorned with embedded counters with orange hands, in tribute to the 1968 Speedmaster Moonwatch Ultraman. The black bezel, decorated with a white tachymeter scale and the inscription “TACHYMÈTRE” in orange, completes the set.

Finally, we find the famous bracelet of the MoonSwatch, presented here in black velcro with orange stitching (the trendy color of the moment!) to add a final touch to this bold model.

Mission to Earth Desert: the most discreet

With the MoonSwatch Mission to Earth Desert, Swatch and Omega offer a more subdued and versatile model. With its case, crown, and pushers in sand-colored bioceramic, this watch evokes “the tranquility and splendor of deserts around the world”, particularly those expanses of sand that cover more than a fifth of the Earth’s surface.

The taupe dial and sand-colored hands create a discreet but sophisticated palette, while the indexes coated with Super-LumiNova Grade A are there to ensure better readability in the dark. Of course, the fans of the Omega Speedmaster will also find the iconic dot over ninety (dot over ninety).

Evolving in the same color range, the taupe bracelet enhances the sleek and almost minimalist design of this watch.

Mission to Earth Polar Lights: a very successful glittery dial

The third and last (for now) MoonSwatch Mission to Earth is a true ode to the northern lights. A happy coincidence in timing as this phenomenon has never been as visible on our planet (and even in France).

Named Polar Lights, this watch features a turquoise case, in harmony with the crown and ceramic pushers. While some may associate it with the color dear to Tiffany, these shades primarily evoke “the mesmerizing hues of colorful sails that light up the polar night sky”. The dial, for its part, adopts a dark blue shade and like a starry sky, it is sprinkled with silver glitter reminiscent of aventurine glass dials.

The turquoise needles and counters with white rings complete this celestial display, while the blue bioceramic bezel with a turquoise tachymetric scale and the blue strap with turquoise stitching complete this beautiful range of shades.

These three new versions of the Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission on Earth (Lava, Polar Lights and Desert) will be available from Saturday, June 15, 2024, exclusively in a selection of Swatch stores.

Faithful to its strategy since the launch of this MoonSwatch collection (which is not limited, let’s remember), the brand confirms that it will only be possible to purchase one watch per person, per day, and per Swatch store. The price also remains unchanged, with each model offered at 275€.
