Colorful watches are in demand: Here are 7 models to switch to mechanical orange mode.

It’s one of the major watch trends of the year: color is everywhere! And it’s no longer just about soft or pastel tones, quite the contrary. Yellow, blue, red, bright green regularly appear on our wrists, both on the bands and the watch dials. But amidst this fireworks, one color stands out particularly in 2024 (and not necessarily the most expected): orange!

From affordable fashion watches to more chic or sporty models, there is absolutely something for everyone! So, if you too want to give in to the trend, check out our selection of 7 orange watches for less than 2000 euros.

Swatch Trendy Lines

Orange bracelet or dial? Why not both? Swatch has never hesitated to add a splash of color to our wrists (even if sometimes it’s a bit much). But with its Trendy Lines collection, it’s not just the color options that hit the mark.

We love the attention to detail of this watch, which is adorned in orange in this “Sienna” version. The shape of the hands as well as the lines running through the dial inevitably draw the eye, much like the indexes positioned in a circular fashion.

For the rest, we find the usual Swatch design with a 34 mm case made of biosourced materials and a silicone strap. And above all, always an attractive price: 75€.

Citizen Tsuyosa Magu

Here is definitely a watch that has shown us all the colors since its launch! The Tsuyosa from Citizen has already sported a yellow, salmon, green, blue dial… and now, it dons an orange outfit in the framework of this limited edition Magu.

Only 500 copies of this Japanese watch will be produced (exclusively for the European market), incorporating all the features that made the Tsuyosa a success: 40 mm steel case, perfectly integrated strap, magnifier on the date…

Still powered by the in-house 8210 caliber, this Citizen benefits from a quite fair power reserve (about 42h). But above all, it has an excellent value for money, being available at €299.

Tissot Seastar Wilson WNBA

The Seastar is a classic from Tissot, an affordable diver’s watch, waterproof up to 300 meters but also perfectly at home on dry land. In 2024, it even shows its best performance on the basketball court, thanks to this edition in the colors of the WNBA, the American women’s championship.

The watch will appeal to both men and women, with its traditional 40mm case, which makes numerous references to the most famous US sport. Official timekeeper of the NBA and the WNBA, Tissot has for example graduated the bezel of its Seastar up to 24 (which is the number of seconds one has before taking the shot). The back of the case also receives a specific engraving and the second hand turns orange.

But it is primarily the orange band that makes this edition of the Seastar so special. Designed with Wilson in a composite material, it gives the impression of touching a real basketball. Note that the watch comes with a second band, white with orange accents.

Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba Auto

Because the Khaki Field and Jazzmaster aren’t everything, this year Hamilton is diving in with its colourful Scuba Auto. Fuchsia pink, yellow or orange, this sporty model won’t go unnoticed with its rubber strap.

The dial is more discreet, even if a color reminder is made on the flange and the tip of the second hand. For the rest, fans of the brand will not be disoriented, with the 40 mm case, the notched bezel, the screwed crown and the essential H-10 caliber.

Mido Multifort TV Big Date

Launched on the market just over a year ago, the Multifort TV Big Date has enjoyed quite some success… rightfully so! We have already sang praises for this watch in our review, but today, Mido almost seems visionary by “daring” to dress up its watch with an orange strap!

With its look, this inevitably evokes the 1970s, especially with that famous TV case, square with rounded corners. Even the discreet lines on the dial can make one think of a poorly adjusted television screen. As for the large date present at noon, it undoubtedly contributes to the charm of this Multifort Mido.

Vulcain Skindiver Nautical

Since its return to the forefront, Vulcain has breathed new life into its most emblematic models and has brilliantly recited its neo-retro script. Among all these vintage-inspired watches, the Skindiver perpetuates the legacy of the Nautique from the 1960s.

Originally offered with a black dial, this diver’s watch now daringly ventures into other areas of the palette with gray, blue, and (especially!) orange. This dial is set in a 38mm steel case, topped by a black ceramic bezel and a double dome glass. Powered by an ETA 2824 movement and adorned with a black rubber strap, this Skindiver Nautique is one of our favourite retro watches at the moment!

Alpina Seastrong Diver Extreme Automatic

We conclude this overview with a model that we discovered at Watches & Wonders… before testing it in the harbor of Brest, at the helm of Eric Peron’s Ultim Adagio!

Both sturdy and stylish, this new toolwatch has allowed Alpina to incorporate its iconic Extreme cushion-shaped case into the Seastrong Diver collection. With its reduced dimensions of 39×40.40 mm, this watch demonstrates great versatility, a “perfect “fusion between land and sea” according to Alpina.

The dial of this certified diver’s watch (waterproof up to 300m) displays the brand’s emblematic triangles, punctuated by an orange flange matching the rubber strap.

This very assertive color is not necessarily the easiest to match with your clothes… except maybe in summer! But if it is very fashionable in 2024, the color orange has not waited for this year to creep into watch collections, and it is regularly found in Victorinox, Yema (with its Sous Marine range in orange), Squale, Lip… and many others!
