Every year, the peaceful village of Les Petites-Armoises, nestled in the heart of the Ardennes Argonne, transforms into a real mechanical arena on the occasion of the 24h endurance lawnmowers. The 2024 edition, scheduled for May 18 and 19, marks the triumphant return of this competition as unique as it is atypical, for its 9th edition, after the success of the 2023 edition.
An enriched program
The competition will begin on Saturday at 4pm, in a spirit of camaraderie reminiscent of the famous start of the Le Mans race. The festivities won’t stop there: a firework display will light up the sky on Saturday night, and activities for children will ensure a family-friendly atmosphere throughout the weekend. With 130 teams signed up, including 15 female teams, the challenge promises to be more intense than ever.
The Gravann’S Circuit, with its winding route, forested sections, and numerous obstacles, will test the determination and skill of the participants. The crews, consisting of a varied number of pilots and mechanics depending on their category, will need to demonstrate flawless endurance and strategy to conquer the podium.
An International Reach
The free access for spectators and the participation of numerous European competitors highlight the international character of the event, while enhancing the local heritage. The adoption of the Armoisien as the event’s currency demonstrates a strong commitment to the economy and social fabric of the Argonne Ardennes.
This year’s edition reinforces its social commitment with the big raffle benefiting the association “Le Ruban D’Alix & Emy” in its fight against pediatric cancer. In addition, the introduction of a “before” evening on May 17 with dance and concerts announces moments of sharing and enthusiasm, preludes to the competition.
