Hugo Boss unveils its new men’s fragrance and it is (almost) unexpected.

Every year, Hugo revisits one of his two iconic fragrances, Hugo Man or Boss Bottled. Sometimes even both. In this year 2024, marked by the European football championship in Germany, the brand (German, let’s not forget) unveils its new Boss Bottled Triumph Elixir, a perfume “evoking the passion of football”, notably embodied by Eduardo Camavinga, Phil Foden and Kai Havertz.

A fresh and potent variation of Boss Bottled

And what if Boss Bottled still managed to surprise us? The iconic Hugo Boss fragrance, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2023, has already been given around twenty variations, from the freshest to the most woody, not to mention some more intense interpretations. And precisely, the new Boss Bottled Triumph Elixir seems to be a concentrate of all of this at once!

Just like for the original fragrance in 1998, it’s Annick Menardo who is in charge. And if she was then inspired by the Apfelstrudel, the famous German dessert, the indulgence must have been left in the cloakroom for the elixir of 2024. Working closely with Suzy Le Helley, she managed to bottle the “triumphant spirit” with a highly concentrated yet very fresh perfume.

It is thus notes of violet leaf that open the ball of this green amber perfume, followed by a woody heart of vetiver essence. In the base, it’s a trail as classic as it is charismatic that gives length to the fragrance, thanks to the essence of patchouli.

Go blue!

For once, although the glass bottle of Boss Bottled retains its usual lines, it is adorned with a dark blue coat. Both bright and vivid, it receives a luminous ceramic finish “to reflect the play between intensity and freshness” says the brand.

If the concept of “triumph” in perfumery vaguely reminds us of a certain Invictus, Hugo Boss sees this conquering spirit differently. Here, it’s unity and teamwork that are seen as the engines of victory. Hence the choice of 3 football stars to embody this Boss Bottled Triumph Elixir: the Frenchman Eduardo Camavinga, the British Phil Foden and the German Kai Havertz. A few weeks before Euro 2024, this is obviously not insignificant…

Available from this April 1st, 2024, Boss Bottled Triumph Elixir is offered starting at 111€ for the 50 ml bottle and 145€ for the large 100 ml format.
