From mainstream eau de toilettes to niche fragrances, the world of men’s perfumery is constantly evolving. As we approach spring, here are the new men’s perfumes that have already caught our attention at the start of the year 2024.
312 Saint-Honoré, BDK Perfumes
2024 is an important year for David Benedek, who just opened his first Parisian boutique at the very moment when his brand BDK is celebrating its 7th anniversary.
Located at 312 Saint-Honoré street, this store also gives its name to BDK’s new fragrance. The twentieth since its founding! As for Velvet Tonka, it’s Alexandra Carlin who is behind this new eau de parfum. Minimalism and verticality are thus on the menu, with a musky composition that combines the elegance of pink berry leaves from Madagascar with the sensuality of ambrox… not forgetting the comforting indulgence of tonka.
“It’s a sophisticated perfume, yet the formula is very short; it is simple but not simplistic. It has something intimate, like the boutique: we are in the middle of Paris but like in a cocoon.” The duo David Benedek / Alexandra Carlin know how to tell stories to present these perfumes. Both in smell and in writing, it’s a success and 312 Saint-Honoré is an excellent address at the same time as a beautiful perfume.

Boss The Scent Elixir, Hugo Boss
Each season has its new Hugo Boss fragrance. And when it’s not Boss Bottled or Hugo Man that is reinterpreted, it’s The Scent revealing new olfactory facets.
After a Magnetic version that combined the absolute sound of wheat and black vanilla, The Scent becomes Elixir at the end of winter 2024 (as Boss Bottled did a few months ago). With a high concentration of 25%, the fragrance offers unrestrained depth, more intense than ever. Perfumer Nelly Hachem-Ruiz wanted to bet on a spicy composition, where burning pepper clashes with organic lavender and a soft woody base of top-of-the-range New Caledonian sandalwood.
As always, the male version is accompanied by a new variant The Scent for Her (created by Louise Turner), which highlights pink pepper and floral notes of belladonna.

Brunello Cucinelli for men
A duo can hide another. If you prefer more confidential fragrances, we can only advise you to discover the duo for women and men from Brunello Cucinelli.
After ready-to-wear, the Italian designer “realizes one of his biggest dreams” with these two perfumes. Daphné Bugey has managed to give birth to a clever blend of chestnut and precious wood for her feminine creation, while Olivier Cresp was inspired by Brunello Cucinelli’s native lands to craft the masculine perfume. With the rows of cypress trees of the Umbrian landscapes in mind, he proposes a modern and elegant, woody, spicy and aromatic composition, where black pepper meets Calabrian bergamot, juniper berries and clary sage.
Timeless, sunny, fresh and magnetic, this first perfume from Brunello Cucinelli is one of the (very) beautiful discoveries of the beginning of the year 2024.

Bvlgari for Men, eau de parfum
Musk is popular in men’s perfumery this year. Evidence of this is the new creation from Bvlgari, presented as “a harmonious and refined musky wood”.
Created by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier, Bvlgari’s Eau de Parfum for Men is a reimagining of the grand classic from the Italian house. Behind its apparent simplicity, it stages a subtle duet of Darjeeling tea and ginger, supported by Guaiac wood and Ceylon tea. More classic, the musky and amber base takes nothing away from the elegance of this fragrance, quite the contrary.
Both comforting and surprising, fresh and spicy, the new Bvlgari perfume is a weapon of massive fascination.

Narciso Rodriguez for Him Vetiver Musc
After the excellent Bleu Noir, the For Him collection by Narciso Rodriguez is expanding and welcomes Vetiver Musc on March 4, 2024.
Contrary to what its name might suggest, this eau de toilette “writes a new chapter full of freshness”. For this ode to nature, Narciso Rodriguez called upon the nose Mathilde Bijaoui, with the intent to create a fragrance that is indeed typically masculine, but more “sensitive and nuanced”.
The result is up to the mark, perfectly balanced between the signature musk of Narciso Rodriguez and a much more aromatic heart, the olfactory pyramid seeing a succession of geranium, lavandin, red algae, cedar, patchouli and, of course, vetiver.
