March LA.B unveils a new all-titanium AM.2 (and it’s beautiful)

As every year, March LA.B unveils a limited edition watch in March. This time again, it’s the iconic AM2 that is revisited by the French brand, this one adorning itself with titanium for the 2024 Vintage.

The March watch, an unmissable event for March LA.B

Would one dare to compare March LA.B’s March Vintage to Beaujolais Nouveau? Too late, in any case. As with the famous oenological rendezvous on the third Thursday of November, March LA.B unveils a new watch of its own vintage each year in March. A limited edition that allows it to revisit its most iconic model, the AM2.

Even without being a native English speaker, it is easy to understand that this month of March is important for the brand’s founders. Its name, itself, seems to refer to the spring month, although it is actually a wink to the surname of two co-founders, Alain MARhic and Joseph CHâtel (LA.B referring to the cities of Los Angeles and Biarritz). And to make the story seem even more beautiful, the creators also like to recall that March LA.B officially saw the light of day… in the month of March!

In short, there are numerous reasons to celebrate this anniversary each year at the same time as the “adventure of time”. Since 2020, 4 limited editions of AM2 have been created, with specific cases and dials, but always in the purest March LA.B. style. The vintage, of course, is no exception to the rule with the launch of the AM2 Titanium.

What does the Mars 2024 vintage of AM2 look like?

As its name indicates, the AM2 Titanium sports a 100% titanium look. Renowned for its durability, this material radically changes the face of this watch, clad for the first time in this distinctive gray color. Thanks to the use of grade 5 titanium, March LA.B promises better resistance to marks and scratches, but the AM2 also stands out mainly for its weight: only 91 grams on the scale (bracelet included!), which is 39 less than the standard steel version, while being powered by the La Joux Perret G100 movement.

For the rest, the 39 mm case retains its emblematic shape, a square with beveled corners, while the dial boasts a matte grey guilloché finish, on which one can distinguish the interlaced signature lines of March LA.B. Another element dear to the brand, the color green, is also well represented, in small touches, on the second hand and at the date window… on the number 3, yet again!

It is also no coincidence that this AM2 Titanium is only produced in 133 copies. Available from March 14th on the March LA.B website, this 2024 March Vintage is priced at 2295€.
