After the Tuned Air of the TNs, Nike takes a new step in the revolution of cushioning with the Dn. Understand the Dynamic Air. This innovation is characterized by a new Nike Air unit composed of two chambers and four circular pods, offering unprecedented comfort, a smooth stride, and optimal rebound.
To achieve this, the brand explains that the rear tubes benefit from lower pressure than the front tubes (15 / 5 psi): thus, the moving air freely moves with each step, hence this designation of Dynamic Air.
The creation of the Air Max Dn is actually the result of a close collaboration between designers, engineers and scientists from Nike Air Manufacturing Innovation (Air MI) and the Nike Sport Research Lab (NSRL). Their goal was clear: to create a shoe that combines performance and comfort, without neglecting design (we’ll get back to this). Advanced manufacturing methods and numerical analysis played a key role in the rapid and precise development of this model.
Reggie Hunter, Product Manager for Nike Lifestyle Footwear, emphasizes the importance of “dynamic motion”, a key feature of the new Air Max Dn sneakers. The unique configuration of the chambers allows for real-time interaction with the foot, ensuring a smooth transition from heel to toe and a revolutionary walking experience.

On paper, it’s understood, the new Nike sneakers are a gem of engineering and technology. But to appeal to the public, style should obviously not be neglected. And from this point of view, we can say that the designers of the Air Max Dn have paid great attention to detail.
The injected Phylon foam and a rubber outsole ensure comfort and durability. The upper, with its modern textile and textured secondary layer, adds a touch of elegance and innovation. The colored air bubbles, widely visible on the side of the shoe, greatly contribute to the futuristic look of these Dn. An impression even more marked when looking at the sole, where one can still see the colored tubes.
